Businesses constantly need things that are new and different and we at the Orange County Chamber of Commerce are busy creating new ideas. We plan to lead the way. We have made the decision that, from now on we will always consider doing things differently. We understand and embrace the fact that a Chamber our size has a large, diverse membership base. We recognize
the need to redefine that base and provide increased opportunities and support for its members. We plan to connect in new ways and to have numerous conversations where we listen, ask questions and engage many parties in interactive discussions. We plan to make our products and services better and package them in new ways so that our members will have more opportunities to connect and future members can get to know us better.
We also realize that this current economic climate has caused, among other things, an atmosphere of seriousness. So, besides some new and different ways to service our members we plan to infuse a dose of fun into many of our events. Among other things, the energy at networking events will change and new synergies will be born. After all, who says we can’t have some fun while we, the Chamber, its member and the business community at large, work together to create a new, prosperous economic climate.
It’s so exciting to be part of this process as I observe the momentum building and connect with individuals who are talking about what they can do and how we can work together in new and different ways. Please, we need your input and insight as we travel on this road. As chairman, I promise to listen, ask questions and bring information back to the board. I await your valuable input. You can reach me at 845 -447-1037 or email me at djohnson@djcsfirm.com. On behalf of the Board
of Directors, I thank you for your willingness to participate in the revitalization of our individual and collective businesses and communities in Orange County.
